SPRUCE -Mills are saying sales are sputtering to start the week as buyers seem content with current inventory levels. Mills report a slow start also as most stay aggressive with prices and are looking at all offers. Even with record low pricing, buyers are hard to find. Mills may close for extended holiday time due to poor market conditions.

HEM FIR - Trading remained very light for the first part of the week. Expect flat to slightly lower prices for the balance of the week.
TREATED - We now have Micronized Copper Azole treated lumber. It is less corrosive, lighter in color so it can be stained easier. It can be used with aluminum flashing on interior applications. This product may be used for interior purposes where Borate treated had been used.  
OSB -Prices continue to run sideways to slightly lower. Several mills are down for the remainder of the year due to market conditions.

S. Pine Plywood- Pine plywood prices cover a wide range. Most producers were able to negotiate deals to relieve themselves of excess stock.  After they got themselves some breathing room they bumped priced slightly and took a wait and see attitude.

Fir Plywood -Not much fir is being sold east. Freight pushed prices to a $100 premium over pine. Most buyers switched species. Buyer interest is very light.

DRYWALL - Drywall prices are firming. Increases are being announced for January in the 10% to 15% range.  
Marvin Integrity Windows - Marvin is introducing single operator technology with their Integrity Casement Windows. One operation will now engage both operators. Integrity now has  outswing patio doors. Also, Bronze color is now available. The all ultrex window is doing well.  The Infinity Ultrex replacement window is now available in four colors. White, Pebble Gray, Bronze, and Sierra.
